Coconut Fig Smoothie

This weeks smoothie recipe is so decadent you could enjoy it as desert but is loaded with protein, healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants so it is also a great choice for breakfast.

The Maca root powder gives it an extra boost by providing increased mental and physical energy levels.

is smoothie as a desert my favourite way to do that is by pouring the smoothie into popsicle molds and freezing over night for a refreshing summer treat.

 

 

Recipe

  • 4 figs, frozen
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp maca root powder
  • 1/4 cup protein powder of your choice
  • 1 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
