Local Health’s Response to COVID-19
These are not easy times for any of us and Local Health has decided to keep our doors closed for the month of April, unless we are permitted to open again sooner. We will stay up to date with the latest information and open our doors as soon as we can. We appreciate your continued support and hope we can support as many of you as possible through virtual appointments in the meantime.

To continue care we are able to offer the following services from the comfort of your home:
- Naturopathic Medicine
- Clinical Counselling
- Holistic Nutrition
- Acupuncture (15 minute check-ins)
- Dalian Method

Starting your video appointment:
- Please have your device ready 10 minutes before your appointment.
- Check you email, your practitioner will email you a secure video link prior to your appointment (no download or logins required).
- Click the link provided, if prompted allow access to your audio and video cam.

Clinic Temporary Closure Update
As we unite with other Canadians in the important effort to halt the spread of COVID-19, we have made the decision to extend the temporary closure of the clinic for the month of April. We hope to be able to reopen as soon as possible, subject to public health guidelines, and will keep you updated at the first sign of this possibility.
We will be reaching out to all patients booked in early April to help you reschedule to a later date. You can also login to your own account and change your appointment to a later date or to a virtual appointment (see below).
However, our Naturopathic Doctors, Clinical Counsellors, Holisitic Nutritionist and Dalian Method practitioners are all able to continue to support you through video or phone appointments. You are able to book appointments with these practitioners by visiting our online booking program.
Our acupuncturist will also be offering free 15-minute check-ins with their existing patients, which you are able to book online.
If you are needing any prescribed supplements from the clinic, please get in touch with us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) as we can either have you pick them up at a set time from the clinic or have them shipped directly to you. We also encourage you to visit the COVID-19 link on our website for further updates in the future.

Clinic update amid CoVid-19
As you are well aware, there are increased concerns around protecting our health and the health of our community due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Information is being updated and we encourage you to follow reliable federal, provincial and regional healthcare recommendations.
At Local Health, patient and practitioner health is our top priority. We are taking all necessary precautions to keep our patients and staff safe. This includes increased cleaning with hospital-grade cleaners, making hand sanitizer available to all staff and patients, and being flexible with our 24-hour cancellation policy should a patient have symptoms of illness or concerns about being out in public.
If you are feeling healthy, our team is happy to continue to support you with this. Please arrive for your appointment on-time, but not early, so that we minimize the number of people at the clinic at any given time.
However, we ask that if you are feeling unwell, to please stay at home. Please try to give us as much notice as possible if you are going to cancel so that our practitioners are able to help others in our community. Our therapists will be flexible with the cancellation policy.
Those who are booked in to see a naturopathic physician, clinical counsellor or holistic nutritionist have the option to change to an phone or online appointment, should they choose. Please contact the clinic should you like to change your appointment.
We are following recommendations laid out by the Public Health Agency of Canada and continue to monitor information released, in order to stay up to date on the best healthcare practices. A reliable source for this information includes the BC Centre for Disease Control’s COVID-19 page.
