Dr. Fiona Smulders

Naturopathic Doctor

I believe that health is a state of balance. When we fall out of balance through physical, mental or emotional injury, we become susceptible to illness. My mission is to help you regain and maintain balance by optimizing dietary and lifestyle patterns, transforming self-limiting thoughts and beliefs, and applying herbal remedies, mind-body counselling, nutritional supplements, acupuncture, bodywork and Intravenous (IV) therapy to strengthen your natural ability to heal yourself.

I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. I have an Honours Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario and additional training in Rehabilitation Therapy for injury recovery, Advanced Obstetrics, Bowen Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, and as a Naturopathic Doula. I have also studied Traditional Herbal Medicine with a Kichwa Shaman in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I combine the healing practices of traditional natural therapies with western medical practices to create evidence-based natural treatment plans unique to your needs. Although I welcome everyone into my practice, I have a clinical focus in anxiety, depression, thyroid conditions, injury recovery, fatigue and burnout recovery, and digestive concerns.

I look forward to working with you in optimizing your health and vitality!

Yours in health,

“I have been seeing Fiona Smulders, ND, for my own health journey, along with my son. She has been very caring, professional, and willing to work with our specific needs. She is so gentle in her approach, yet maintains such a professionalism that you can trust. She is well informed and we have appreciated being one of her patients.” – BN
“I’ve seen Dr. Fiona Smulders a few times now for help dealing with my Restless Leg Syndrome. Right away she honed in on low dopamine levels and coached me to weaving more foods high in dopamine into my diet. This dopamine connection was later confirmed by my MD, who I’m also working with on this. At this point my symptoms have almost totally disappeared!” – O.G.
“After dealing with a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder and tendinopathy in my right, I was left unsatisfied with the physiotherapist and chiropractor who I had previously visited. I was recommended to Dr Smulders from a friend. I was apprehensive at first but her acupuncture and soft tissue therapy has been the most effective treatment that I’ve received. My experience has left an overwhelmingly positive response in both my shoulders. Best recommendation I’ve had in years! – A.O.
