Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine has been something I have incorporated into my own health and lifestyle for the past decade, and this passion led me to study this intriguing medicine. Through my holistic and patient-centered approach to healthcare, I help my patients to achieve their greatest level of health and balance.
I believe that healing takes place on many levels – physical, emotional, and mental – and also through the compassionate connection between a patient and their therapist. It is in this connection that I form a trusting relationship with my patients. I strive to educate my patients about the mechanisms of acupuncture in both an eastern and western medical perspective, so that the effectiveness of acupuncture can be more clearly understood. My scope of acupuncture treatment covers all ailments and conditions, including:
- Chronic and Acute pain
- Headaches and Migraines
- Musculoskeletal Injuries
- Emotional and Psychological Disorders
- Insomnia and Chronic Fatigue
- Digestive Issues
- Respiratory Disorders
- Women’s Health and Infertility
I am grateful to have found my path in acupuncture, and to be able to educate and offer others a medicine which allows us to achieve optimal health through natural means. Often patients will come in after having “tried everything”, and find that they get the results they have been looking for with Acupuncture. Through individualized treatments, a gentle needling technique, and a relationship of trust and communication between myself and the patient – true healing can take place.
When I am not practicing, I love exploring the many forests, mountains, and islands our coastal city has to offer with my fun-loving dog Cass. Traveling is another passion of mine, and has taken me across numerous landscapes of Asia, South America, Africa, and Europe, instilling in me an easy-going nature and openness to new experiences and perspectives. Traveling also led me to study for four years at the University of Calgary in Humanities and Development Studies.
I completed my studies as a Registered Acupuncturist at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver. I am registered and licensed with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturists of BC.
