Michelle Ziegler

Registered Clinical Counsellor

As a counsellor, my main focus is on providing a compassionate and trusting environment that will enhance your ability to feel comfortable in opening up. I truly feel that we each have the ability to experience positive change and enhance our happiness, which can be accomplished when we feel supported and secure.

I recognize that everyone is unique, and we each have our own struggles. Therefore, I take an individualized approach and feel it is important to work together in getting down to the root cause of what may be going on for you, and then working collaboratively towards finding solutions to allow you to live up to your fullest potential. Together we can create a new positive path that you feel proud and confident to walk.

I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC; Member #19162). I provide counselling for children, youth, and adults. I have specific training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma Incident Reduction which focuses on eliminating the negative effects of past traumas. I work through a person-centered lens by coming from a place of non-judgement and guidance as you start to work through and begin to understand your thoughts and feelings by developing self-acceptance which will enhance your own healing and personal growth.

I have been working as a counsellor since 2016 in a treatment program where I supported youth suffering with addiction, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. My passion has always been around helping individuals live their true authentic self by tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs and goals you would like to accomplish.

I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone call or video chat to see if we would be a good fit. Please contact me at counsellingwithmichellez@gmail.com to set this up.
