Whether you’re healing from a physical injury, seeking a safe space to allow your body a period of relaxation, or looking for relief from muscle tension and chronic pain, a therapeutic massage can enhance your overall sense of wellbeing.
By listening to your concerns and observing your body’s ‘holding patterns’, Rayna’s goals are to focus on understanding the cause of your discomfort, build treatments around working together to bring your body into a state of balance, and give you tools to take a proactive approach in the maintenance of your health and wellbeing. Grounding everything within a foundation of breath and postural awareness helps you to identify how you may be able to make small but important adjustments in your daily activities that will extend the benefits of your massage treatment. Her goal is to make you less dependent on her (not that she doesn’t love to see you)!
Rayna works with a variety of treatment techniques, with myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active and passive stretching, and Craniosacral Therapy being the most commonly used tools in her toolbox.
Outside of the clinic you can find Rayna running trails on Vancouver’s North Shore with her pup or adventuring around the Pacific Northwest on her motorcycle, “Lucy Bird”. Rayna is also an Assistant Instructor at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, continuing to learn about the most current treatment modalities and assisting soon-to-be RMTs in their journey to becoming valuable therapists within the healthcare field.
