A lifelong resident of Vancouver and proponent of the Westcoast life, Shelby (she/her) has always had a passion for health, wellness, and the human body. After nearly a decade of working in a conventional health care setting and since graduating from Langara College in 2019, she began to realize the impact of the mind-body connection and how important patient empowerment and autonomy is for the healing process. She strongly believes every body holds all the tools necessary to heal itself and by identifying the root of the concern and then treating the person as a whole while providing the guidance on how to utilize these tools is the key to healing. Shelby’s intuitive, holistic, trauma-informed approach addresses both the physical and mental concerns that are present with almost all conditions whether it is an injury, chronic pain, pregnancy, day-to-day stress, muscle tension, systemic disease, or mental health disorder and focuses on bringing mindful awareness to the body to not only restore functional movement but also inspire overall well-being to achieve your highest potential.
Shelby personalizes each treatment by employing many modalities in her practice such as myofascial release, trigger-point therapy, Swedish massage, pre- and post-natal massage, neuromuscular therapy, joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, and cranial sacral therapy.
In her free time, you can find Shelby participating in activities that ground her such as exploring in nature, practicing yoga and meditation, tackling a new craft, or curled up at home with a good book and her cat, Willow
