Tammy grew up in the Lower Mainland, and has been back living in the city since 2006. She graduated from WCCMT’s 3000-hr massage therapy program in 2013, and is currently working towards her health sciences degree. She spent the 1st days of her career here at our clinic, since then, she has been keeping busy working full-time around east Vancouver and is excited to come back and join the team at Local Health Integrative Clinic.
The most rewarding part of Tammy’s job is helping patients to reach their physical goals, which ultimately has a positive effect on the rest of their lives. Through hands-on therapy and education, she hopes to empower her patients to take control and work towards managing symptoms on their own as much as possible. Tammy believes that massage is most effective if patients are invested in their own well being, and willing to participate in the process. Her techniques adhere to the basic principles of massage and are determined by the patients needs.
Outside of work, Tammy is likely spending time with her beagle, or any other creature who wants to hang out with her. She also likes drawing, baking vegan treats, and planning adventures with her partner.
